WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We want your story to be honest and real. Don’t worry about making your story more entertaining or elaborate than it really is. We want to hear how we have made a positive impact on your life.
This is what matters most.
We are only accepting stories from students in grades 9-12.

Use the questions below to help construct your story.

PAST

What was your life like before coming to this school?
What was the main reason for coming here?

PRESENT

How has your life changed for the better since being at this school?
What is your favorite aspect of this school?

FUTURE

How do you feel your life will improve because of this school?
What hopes & goals do you have for your future?

VIDEO GUIDELINES

Must be between 1-3 minutes
Shoot your video in a well-lit area that is as quiet as possible
Shoot your video in landscape orientation, not portrait (See example below)
Speak clearly, and without the use of vulgar language
Do not edit your video to add music or effects

WRITING GUIDELINES

Must be less than 1,000 words
Write in a first person tense (ie: I, me, etc.)
No formatting is needed, as you are able to copy and paste your text into a submission box
An image of yourself is required to be submitted with your story. Be sure we can see your face clearly and no one else is in the photo.
